The Perfect Loaf

     Do you ever bake something, something that you've worked on for years and you have that eureka moment where everything comes together and makes a perfect loaf or whatever you are baking.

The taste is amazing- a 100% Whole Wheat Bread with just the right amount of mostly natural sweetener and walnuts and sunflowers embedded throughout. It's a bread machine recipe I've been fooling with forever since I got my Bread machine.
                       
                                                                   
 

  I add a 1/2 cp of Sourdough starter and that is optional.  I've written the recipe so you can easily adapt either way- with or without.  But if you refer to my previous blog on why sourdough is healthy- Making Sourdough Starter -you might be inspired to try your hand at it.


This does not leave you with a sourdough bitter taste in this bread.  But it does break down certain elements in your whole wheat to make nutrients and minerals more digestible and used in your body. In a world that seems more & more sensitive to gluten this bread pre-digests some of that gluten (busy little sourdough) for you.  Also some of the glucose is eaten, so you are getting less of a sugar hit from a carbohydrate if you are sugar sensitive.  The minerals it releases are dramatically increased also.   You will see the difference in your hair and nails and your body will love you!  But besides the nutritional value of this bread, it's amazing and tastes so good!  This is my most favorite bread right now.
